Communication methods
We provide different communication methods according to our clients’ needs. Our office hours are from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, PT. If you contact us outside of office hours, we will reply during our normal business hours.
|
Email is our main way of communicating with clients. If we receive any news or updates, we will immediately notify the client via email. If you change your email address, please provide our office with the new email address at your earliest convenience. You will be provided with the email address of the paralegal handling your case. If you are not sure which paralegal to contact, please send your emails to counsel@xlilaw.com.

Phone/Text |
Our phone line is (213) 375-8096. We will contact clients using this phone number or (213) 873-3111 to follow up. Please note that (213) 873-3111 may only receive or send texts, and not calls. Under certain circumstances, the paralegal handling your case may also provide his/her direct line to you.
The system we use for scheduling appointments is 10to8. The system will automatically generate reminders to clients via texts and emails. Questions regarding appointments may be answered by responding to the texts. As for case management, we are using PracticePanther. Reminders for important events such as hearings, interviews, etc. will be set up through the system, and you will be notified before the events. Please do not reply to the text message as we will not receive your response. If you have questions, please contact our office by calling (213) 375-8096. |
|
We will create a WeChat group with your name, and our staff will reply to your questions in the group. As we may be occupied with other tasks, we may not be able to instantly reply to you. We will try to respond to your questions within one (1) business day. Please do not send us documents through WeChat as there are expiration dates for WeChat documents. Also, please do not send us politically sensitive information and questions due to safety concerns.

Document Submission
Electronic
|
We accept different methods of document submissions. We utilize Box cloud storage, so we recommend uploading to Box.com. Please see our detailed instructions on Box.com Document Uploading.
Other than Box.com, you can also send the documents as an attachment to the paralegal handling your case or to the attorney’s email. If you are not sure who is handling your case, please send emails to counsel@xlilaw.com. Please do not send us documents in the WeChat group. This is not only due to privacy concerns, but also because it is hard to maintain an accurate record since WeChat documents frequently expire. |
